Shooting from the hip: Pismo Beach Barber Shop.
We don’t shoot weddings- that’s a car crash in slow motion.
We don’t shoot class photos or sports teams.
But we do shoot what attracts our eye, and it’s not always a beautiful home, interesting people, a fabulous restaurant and amazing food, or exotic vacation locations.
We also shoot what intrigues us, tells a different story, or leads us to wonder, “what is going on here.”
This is one of those ‘other’ shots.
Enjoy.
We’re usually grabbing shots on the fly riding the bike.
Today, we slowed it down; we took a walk.
The world is different at this speed.
Seeing different things in places we pass everyday.
We recommend taking the time to see more, to feel more.
Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving.
Where the ideas begin-
Where the creativity hums-
Where we work together doing what we love together-

… Canyon View Estates, scouting for two Portrait Project shoots next week.
What an amazing place this is. So glad we had a chance to live here and experience it.
We don’t have a particular time of year we like to shoot in. It’s all good.
It just takes skill and a bit of savvy to shoot in any light. Or no light at all.
The object is to get the great shot.
And we thrill to the chase.
Thank you Tim and Michael in Canyon View Estates for participating in The Portrait Project.
And yes- that is Woodford.

After a three month hiatus we traveled to Joshua Tree this morning to shoot the artist Angel Chen.
Thank you Angel for being a part of The Portrait Project.
Terrell Sandefur shot for Palm Springs Life Vision 2021-2022 Issue.
Backstory: We got a call from filmmakers/mover-shakers Ebersole-Hughes. They had just met someone that they felt we should meet also and small world wonders smiled on us all.
Cutting to the chase, we actually met Terrell in 2012 in the South while doing the film festival circuit when our doc film GROW! screened at the Macon Film Festival in Georgia; Terrell was the organizer of the festival. (GROW! picked up a Best Documentary win.)
As it turned out he recently bought a home in our neighborhood in PS around the corner.
When Palm Springs Life Magazine contacted us to shoot the Vision issue about people working from their light filled home offices, we suggested Terrell.
It’s a small world with big interconnectivity.
Woodford is angling to be the first cat in The Portrait Project.
More soon… stay tuned…
Anyone who has explored Indian Canyons neighborhood knows this home.
Next step: to get inside!
Now, back to our bike ride… happy Monday.
We’ve been grabbing shots of this fine fellow for years now- and we won’t stop.
