… and what a beautiful view it is.
Not on the road, not on location, not on assignment; we are in the office, taking care of business, drinking espresso shots and watching the snow fall.
It won’t last but, while it does, we’ll enjoy it.
A little taste of a tasteful renovation in Midtown Atlanta.

They come in bottles on the tide-
Spray painted on walls-
Texted to the wrong number-
On scraps of paper carried on the wind…
Who wrote them? Who are they meant for? What do they really mean?
tactile |ˈtaktl | adjective - of or connected with the sense of touch
visual |ˈviZH(o͞o)əl | adjective - of or relating to seeing or sight
They come together when you can hold the photos in your hand.
You can pass them to the person sitting across from you- hang them on the wall- stick them to the fridge- carry them in your wallet- put them in a tray on your coffee table and watch the reaction on your friends’ faces as they dig through them.
There is a visceral sensation not present when viewing photos on a phone…
Think about that.

On a recent trip to Nashville we had the opportunity to shoot a number of portraits of our friend and colleague Anna Forkum, a very talented Interior Designer and Photo Stylist.
We shot a number of different set-ups, but we especially love this one which we felt really captured Anna and her working process, whether in her design studio or on set.

The fall decorating story we shot in Grand Rivers, Kentucky.
Thanks to stylist Anna Forkum for pumpkin wrangling, leaf management, and keen eye; to Assistant Art Director Lori Sturdivant at BH&G/SIM for guidance and vision (and dinner at Patti’s- we’ll tell you about if you want…and you should), and KariAnne and her family at Thistlewood Farm for allowing us into their amazing home.

Since October 2016, Owen has been creating assemblages from reclaimed scrap wood gleaned from construction sites, a local custom cabinet maker, and dumpsters around Atlanta.
At his first public exhibition in Nashville last May, nine of the original thirteen pieces sold.
Between photo shoots and film work, he has continued to create these assemblages, recycling wood that otherwise would be hauled off to the dump.
#025 is referred to around here as “Mariana” and was inspired by the Trench of the same name.
